Jo is a visual artist who works primarily with mixed media in drawing and painting. She exhibits both locally and nationally, and is represented by the Sandler Hudson Gallery in Atlanta, GA. Jo has pursued an active artistic career in the Atlanta area since 1976. Her work is part of both private and corporate collections throughout the United States. Jo received a BA in Art from American University in Washington, DC., an MVA in Printmaking at GA State University, and an MFA in Drawing from the University of Florida.
Nature inspires me to make art, whether I’m walking in forests, along coastlines, or camping. I look for contrasts in nature that relate to ideas in math and science. No matter what approach I use, what remains consistent is my connection to nature and its reminder of what is real.
